Friends of all ages are invited to attend Fall Continuing Sessions! Join us for a day of worship, community, youth programs and attending to the business of the yearly meeting.
We will close out our year of focus on the theme: “Living with our neighbors, Growing into beloved community.”
The weekend opens and closes with worship:
- Friday evening, there will be an online time of waiting worship (7-8pm) to ground our Sessions weekend in community and Spirit.
- On Sunday morning we continue the Sessions weekend (newish!) tradition of All Together Worship. From across meetinghouses and homes, Friends are invited to worship all together from 10-11am. This time in worship will be held in the care of Yearly Meeting elders and the presiding clerk.
- The Zoom link for both Friday evening and Sunday morning is the same one as for Saturday morning online. Please register to receive the Zoom link!
Saturday Schedule for Fall Continuing Sessions:
- 8:30-9:00 registration, refreshments
- 9:00-9:30 Intergenerational Worship
- 9:30-12:30 Meeting for Business
- 9:30-12:30 Youth Program
- 12:30-1:30 Lunch provided at Arch Street Meeting House — please consider bringing a potluck dessert to share!
- 1:30-3:30 Intergenerational Program: Gifts in Community and Shared with Neighbors
- 3:30-5:00 Worship and Fellowship
Friends attending in person at Arch Street Meeting House are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to contribute to the Friend’s Food Pantry, and collaboration of the Monthly Meeting of Friends of Philadelphia and Arch Street Meeting House Preservation Trust to serve their neighborhood community.
Meeting for business Saturday morning is a hybrid model; join in person at Arch Street Meeting house or from home. Items on the meeting for business agenda will connect with the theme of sharing our gifts in service of our faith.
Youth programs and our intergenerational community program on living into our spiritual gifts is onsite-only after lunch on Saturday. (Lunch provided at Arch Street Meeting House; potluck desserts received with gratitude!)
